Y6 - CYANOTYPE ART
Last Friday our Y6 children took part in a Cyanotype workshop organised by Mrs Brown and delivered by illustrator and author Beach Evans. A mix of art, science and history, the children were following in the footsteps of Sir John Herschel and Anna Atkins who created the first ‘photographs’. Using simple equipment and methodical steps, the children were fascinated at the process of making early photographs before the invention of the camera (and the mobile phone!). It is with many thanks to The Stamford Arts Society and their kind donation that the children were able to take part in this exciting workshop, something that they ordinarily wouldn’t experience. #prideandjoy #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth
