Our Y1 children enjoyed recreating the Jewish Friday night Shabbat meal, as they learnt all about Jewish traditions and foods. As well as trying Challah bread, matzos, Kosher crisps and marble cake from a Jewish bakery, they pretended to light candles and say blessings from the Torah. Each teacher pretended to be a Rabbi, and some children also read out prayers they had written for the event. #engageandinspire #prideandjoy #nurtureandgrowth
