Yesterday, some of our Y6 children attended a taster session at the Stamford Indoor Bowls Club, where Jeanette and her team of volunteers showed the children some of the basic skills of bowls in a fun and engaging manner.  Everyone had lots of fun, including the staff!

For anyone in the community who is interested in trialling bowls, Stamford Bowling Club is holding an open day weekend on 14/15 September. There are free taster sessions with all equipment and guidance included.  Everyone is welcome; just turn up between 1000 and 1600.  Perhaps your young people would like to bring family members along and show them the ropes?

There are also junior coaching sessions available each Thursday between 1615 and 1730 at a bargain price of £2 to include all equipment and coaching.  If anyone would like to attend, please call the club on any morning (other than on Fridays during the summer) on 01780 756452.
