Our Y6 children absolutely loved making stationery rolls out of fabric this half-term in DT. They looked at other products and designed their own, made and cut out paper templates and then used them to make their final product out of fabric. They have learnt how to thread a needle, sew using a running stitch and a backstitch, as well as how to tie off their thread. They have had to use their evaluation skills throughout the design and making process to edit their designs so that they can be used for a purpose!
